Advanced Eco Tourism
Our related organisation in the Ningaloo is the proud recipients of an “Advanced Ecotourism” certification from Ecotourism Australia. Dive Busselton Jetty will be following in its footsteps, to demonstrate our commitment and professionalism in the way we run our dive tours and courses, and our organisation.
The accreditation confirms that we are dedicated to the conservation of the environment, and to maintaining this commitment throughout all aspects of our snorkelling, diving and tour operations. As an operator, it recognises the level of support and contribution made to our local community. And it acknowledges efforts to increase knowledge, awareness and commitment to the amazing natural environment we have the privilege of operating in, and providing ongoing opportunities to our guests to learn more about this environment.
Formed in 1991, Ecotourism Australia being a non-profit organization gave ecotourism the following definition: “Ecotourism is ecologically sustainable tourism with a primary focus on experiencing natural areas that fosters environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation and conservation”.
The vision we share with Ecotourism Australia is to:
“To be leaders in assisting ecotourism and other committed tourism operations to become environmentally sustainable, economically viable, and socially and culturally responsible”.

Reef Alliance
REEF ALLIANCE SeaTREK proudly sponsors, promotes and actively participates in the activities of Reef Alliance globally, and our staff are all individually pledged to support achieving its aims. This involves a full-on commitment to sustainable diving practices, focusing on environmental responsibility, building consumer awareness, educating participants and pro-active conservation measures. Reef Alliance members participate in an annual, international Reef Alliance Day shore and reef cleanup project. Since the initial Reef Alliance Day in 2009, members have recovered tonnes of debris and waste from our underwater world; worked with local school children to raise awareness about the harmful effects of trash in the ocean; and have rallied individuals, businesses and organizations to assist in the conservation of shorelines and reefs worldwide.
SeaTREK Licensee
Busselton Jetty Undersea Walks are a Approved Licensee of the SeaTREK system of helmet diving. SeaTREK’s technology and system was developed by Sub-Sea Systems, a submarine-builder recognised globally by organisations such as Bureau Veritas and the American Bureau of Shipping. SeaTREK has operated since the mid-nineties, and provided over 2.5 million participants the opportunity to experience the amazing underwater world for themselves at 30+ locations around the world, regardless of fitness, swimming ability or dive training.
